Everyone has different goals when it comes to their health and fitness. My main goal has always been to become as strong as I possibly could. The additional (and welcome!) perk of a change in body composition/aesthetics has always been secondary but my main goals has been to lift heavy and get stronger.
At Beyond Fit, we have been making many improvements to our strength and conditioning programming. We don’t follow trends in fitness, but use the latest research and proven methods to improve programming and workouts. Chad and I do the same workouts and want them to be as effective as possible. Our workouts are fun, yet challenging for all levels. We are constantly setting the bar higher in hopes of helping our clients reach their goals.
This month we are implementing The Juggernaut Method (TJM) Strength Program. The program will last for 16 weeks and will include 4 mesocycles or waves lasting 4 weeks each. Each wave will be one month including 3 phases: Accumulation, Intensification and Realization. The last week of each mesocycle will be a Deload in order to prepare for the next wave.

Last week, I found my MAX for each of the main lifts: squat, bench press, deadlift and overheard/military press. Each workout consists of 1-2 main lifts and then some additional assistance work. The main lift serves as the primary focus for a given cycle. The goal of any given cycle will be to
Now that max testing is complete, we are working with submaximal weight and following specific rep schemes based on the wave we are in. This week is Week 1 - Accumulation. Everything is set at 60% of our working max. We are two workouts into the first week. I am already surprised at how challenging it is! Although the load is significantly lighter than I am used to, I am focusing on moving the bar with maximal force/bar speed.
