This is my second week back to reality after vacation and I made it my priority to get back to intense workouts and very clean eating. I feel amazing, even though I am not getting as much sleep as I would like. I am monitoring my recovery closely and will adjust things if necessary.
I started my day with a cardio workout, which included rowing, running and two HIIT sessions. The high intensity intervals consisted of burpees, plank jacks, flutter kick squats, toe touch jacks, cross jumps, jumping jacks, high knees and jump squats.

My first two meals of the day (12 and 3 p.m.) each consisted of a green juice which included kale, swiss chard, purslane, broccoli pea/rice/hemp protein. There was some ground flaxseed in the first one, but not in the second. Deb was lucky enough to get to hang out with me for the first one, green mouth and all!
My afternoon workout at Beyond Fit was great. It was definitely the most intense cardio and core session we had in a while. It was amazing! I love pushing myself to the limits; feeling like I have nothing more to give but continuing to rock it. There were ropes, tires, rowing, sandbells and a tornado ball. INTENSE.

Dinner tonight was another juice. This one had kale, beet, celery, carrot, spinach, parsley and wheat grass plus the pea/rice/hemp protein. Delicious. There are so many health benefits to juicing and it is pretty fun to experiment with different vegetables. Not only do I love the taste, but, in just the few months that I have been juicing, I have seen an increase in energy, quicker recovery from workouts, and amazing skin!
